“The purpose of NWAAC is to preserve and perpetuate our aviation heritage, to participate in activities designed to preserve and promote interest in antique and classic aviation, to offer financial and educational aid to youth in order to generate interest in aviation and aviation history, and to advance the public interest in aviation and aviation history.”
Started in 1959 after local enthusiasts had been meeting in homes in the Vancouver, WA area, the Northwest Antique Airplane Club includes airplane owners, enthusiasts and those that just want to hang around and talk about these beautiful flying machines. We are an Oregon non-profit recognized by the IRS as a tax exempt 501©(3) public charity listed with Benevity. Regular Business meetings are held on the third Saturday of the month at our Scappoose Airport Clubhouse at 10:30 AM. Social events are held regularly to allow members and visitors time to share their flying experiences and spend time together discussing current ventures.
Officers of NWAAC are elected each year at the September Business meeting and take office on October 1st of that year. We welcome new members into our organization and one does not have to own an airplane or be a license holding pilot to be a member.
